Where in BR (especially close to LSU) can I go for some good, cheap seafood on this Lenten lunchtime?

If downtown on Third Street isn't too far for you, Downtown Seafood has the biggest, best cheap fried shrimp platter in the city.

Georges. Friday special is thin cut catfsih w/ fries and slaw for around $10. It's a healthy serving of food

I agree with that as well and I'm not usually a big George's proponent.

I think Brewbacher's has a nice shrimp and fry basket that's relatively cheap

UPDATE: I tried Downtown Seafood today. Other than the hassle of trying to park in Downtown, it was solid. The fries were bland and meh, but the po'boy was great. The bread was great and the meat to bread ratio was better than most I've had in BR.
