How would you rank the players that have worn the red, white, and denim blue using the same tiers of the other thread? I can compile the list later tonight.

GOAT
God
Demi God
Great
Very Good

I'll try while bored in class.. my knowledge of history of USMNT is nothing compared to some of yall's fwiw..

GOAT- Donovan, Dempsey, McBride, Howard

God- Reyna, Friedel, Keller

Demi God- Cobi Jones,Wynalda, Bradley(will be a GOAT by careers end)

Great- Lalas, Dolo, Balboa

Very Good- Joe Max Moore, Bocanegra, Meola

I know i've probly missed some but this was off the top of my head

I just don't think Dempsey is GOAT level yet, if we're speaking purely of USMNT accomplishments rather than their entire career.

I love Timmy, but he can't sniff Friedel's jock. You could argue that Friedel is still better today. In their primes? Not remotely close.

And to put some perspective on Kasey Keller, Friedel retired from international football because Arena wouldn't name him the outright #1 over Keller.

Lalas and Balboa are more famous than good. Thomas Dooley and Eddie Pope were far superior modern era CBs. Jeff Agoos in his prime was probably a better defender than Lalas or Balboa, though his prime was only about 1997-2000.

Tab Ramos is demi-god or above.

Whoopsie.

I almost feel like he, Beasley, Ramos and maybe Wynalda should be above the demi-god level, but not in the same space as Reyna, Friedel, etc.
