Kevin Mawae was 6'4". And a left tackle. He did okay when he was moved to center. I mean, if you count an All-American season followed by a near Hall of Fame NFL career as okay.

It's ok - Mett is 6'5" and Rivers 6'7".

Genius, actually...easier for big QB's to receive ball and now they can get comfortable under center...

Most likely not an official depth chart.

I hear he was running with the first team today.

This shows us they need a No. 2 center. Malone? Dodd? They don't need to be shuffling guys from other positions.

I can only imagine the amount of fumbles today with Williford and Pocic at OC. Probably the first either has ever snapped a football

Williford was already cross training at center. He had been snapping the ball before this.

Fenaika is listed on the 2-deep depth chart as Porter's backup

Really? What depth chart?
I thought miles said Wiliford would cross train there, and JW and Pocic practiced there. Fanaika is a guard all the way, some thought he would play left guard, but miles said hes a right side player...makes sense at 370lbs hes not gonna be as mobile and effective at pulling

Not many 6'7 centers in HS football.

Live Oak actually had one for a while. Then he became a OT in college, and was on the Seahawks for a bit, but he was a camp body.

Personally, I think it mostly has to do with last year. They had multiple injuries and losses along the o-line and it probably cost them a NC. It would make sense to have as many guys ready and able to play multiple positions along the line, just in case.
