Anyone that has seen Blazing Saddles has laughed at a good fart joke. They also laughed at a shite ton of other good jokes of varying types as well.
Not Another Teen Movie was quality, and maybe Scary Movie the original, but all of them after that have progressively gotten shittier and shittier. It's almost not even like they're not trying to make a good movies, but actively trying to make a bad one.
They're trolling America and laughing at every dollar they pull in on these shite sundaes they serve up every 6 months.

Zucker Abrahams Zucker are capable of some extremely good comedy.
Airplane, Naked Gun, Hot Shots, and the undrrated Rat Race, among others.
I didn't realize they ever had anything to do with the Scary Movie franchise.

Yeah, there is such thing as a good fart joke, but they are not present in these films. The joke is someone farted, and that's really it. The fart joke has to actually be a joke, not just as simple as someone farting. Dumb and Dumber (while crap too) had a great one where he fricks up the bathroom which allows Lloyd to intercept Mary. That's a good fart joke.

The early Scary Movies are pretty good. They were Wayan's Brothers movies. The 3rd one started a noticeable departure. The 3rd and 4th ones were still decent movies, but everything made by the "people who brought you Scary Movie 4" since (Date Movie, Epic Movie, Superhero Movie, Meet the Spartans, ect) have all been hot garbage.
