ESPN has suspended Simmons from Twitter for a few days after he called the Skip Bayless-Richard Sherman First Take meltdown last week awful and embarrassing. An ESPN source told me that the tweets violated ESPN's social media guidelines; Simmons was told to lie low for a few days. He hasn't tweeted since Tuesday, and he'll apparently be allowed to return to Twitter tomorrow, making it a three-day hiatus. An ESPN spokesman declined comment, and Simmons didn't respond to an email.

They care more about a reaction from their own employee on twitter than what they put on TV? ESPN has gone to complete crap.

Does ESPN have an ombudsman anymore? I know they used to. And that guy would have put out something already that would be defending Simmons and damning ESPN.

Why? It may suck, but everybody who leaves there falls off the map.

They still have an ombudsman, but he/she (can't remember) only posts criticism infrequently.

I always enjoy reading those posts, especially the post-Mike Leach fiasco.

Steve Carrell was on sportscenter for about 10 minutes today

-pimping his new movie
-giving various scenarios of how brick from anchorman would react in certain situations
-coming up with a catchphrase for brick relating to sports
-doing the top 10, from the perspective of brick

Did you see Liam Neeson on there a few months ago?

They actually asked him about Tim Tebow.
