I'm against keeping it. I say do away with it and let me decide how much I pay determined by how much I buy.

I don't buy shite so I will barely pay

I'm for getting rid of income tax. I think it promotes better money management. Plus it's more money directly to my pocket and I have more control of how much I use

FL doesn't have income tax but their property tax is insane.

I worry the gov figure out a way to get even more tax money out of me if they change to another tax method.

The rational thing for any person to do is minimize tax liability with legal and otherwise creative methods.

Increase the tax base. Remove the complexity, loopholes, the grey area, and the like. Pick up revenue from the cash businesses and the criminals.

The incentive to pay taxes will be built into consumerism. Ballers gonna ball and pay their fair share, and dregs gonna dreg and pay their fair share.

I'm for it.

LA has the some of the lowest Property taxes in America. Florida's property tax isn't insane, it's in Average range, which is a good deal if you consider: No state income tax, VERY REASONABLE 6% sales tax (7.5% in certain counties) which excludes perishable food items (huge deal).

I recently did a cost of living comparison between where I live, VA BEACH, and where my family lives, Bradenton, Fl. I was shocked to find out my cost of living would be a whopping 25-27% lower in Bradenton.

Not to mention property taxes are entered voluntarily and you can choose how much you pay.

Depending on how much it changes, I'm all for getting rid of it in favor of a sales tax. I think our sales tax is already pretty damn high though.

If accepted our sales taxes would be the highest in the nation. I am for it, but I believe local municipalities will move to raise property taxes ASAP, because they wre getting fat off of sales taxes that will suddenly be a lot harder to swallow. So sales overall will go down, also I think the Leges will try to exempt the "old people"; they vote. So groceries, medicine, etc. will be hard to raise it on and most don't pay income or property taxes.
