JK about Sandusky. I've been to several games in Happy Valley, and was on the sidelines in the 'Dome for their first NC in the early '80's. Got to meet and talk with JoPa a couple of times. Always had great respect for him, the school, and the way he ran his program. Now, I'm not sure what to think, and since he's gone, we'll probably never know the truth of his knowledge of what was going on, and his actions or inactions pertaining to it. I do believe the NCAA went over board on the school for the criminal actions of an individual, however.

SI has been a joke for quite some time. Their treatment of Tyrann Mathieu was despicable.

Reminds me of the start of the 2011 season. Sounds good to me. Let's take care of business and prove these guys wrong.

Not a big deal. I understand why it's that way. We lost everyone on D as well as some big O players for us. As well as a tough schedule.
We have 4 of those teams on our schedule. Time to prove him wrong.
It'll be an interesting year, that is for sure.

The national media writers aren't giving LSU's players and coaches much respect in their ability to pull it together. Has no-one paid attention to the recruiting classes we've had over the past years, and also not paid attention to the coaching moves?
ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CBS Sports, ABC Sports, The Sporting News, Fox Sports, RotoWorld, USA Today, The Chicago Sun Times, Pravda, The New Republic, The Wall Street Journal and The Daily Beast all . . . each and everyone . . . hate LSU.

LSU does have a lot to prove to outsiders. To those of us who know more about the program, we know it could be a very very good year. I don't blame them, they just don't know as much as those who follow this team year around.

Big reason I don't pay much attention to national media.

Georgia loses most of their defense, South Carolina has no Lattimore, no Ace Sanders, Florida?? They're good but they were overrated. See the USL game. See the game against Louisville, A&M, the loving for the Heisman winner continues although no Swope, they lost one of their big OTs (can't remember which one), WRs losses, is there a running back? and of course Alabama has to be in there.
I couldn't care less what some two bit writer for SI trying to get a gold star for his efforts posts.

ESPN,SI,these are very smart people.Maybe even as smart as say, Lou Holts and we all know how smart Lou is.I don't even know why we play the games.Look how many injuries we could save if ESPN would just tell the country who the nation champion is every year. Why bother South Carolina to get off the bus at Tiger Stadium last year, when Holts had already told us how that game was going to end.

nd some of y'all said that the Chicken Bowl didn't matter.
Yea, and most of the sunshine pumpers will come in and say how close we were to beating Alabama.
Yet nobody outaide of LSU cares about how "close" they were.
Fact is that Miles shite the bed for the last few years with offense and until that changes NOBODY will give any respect to LSU nor should they.

I'd leave us out too
You'd leave us off a list of those with "reasonable or semi-plausible national title dreams"?
That's ridiculous.

Have you not paid attention to the mistakes and blunders that the Head coach has made year after year. He couldn't win a NC with more NFL talent then any team in the country (when you combine the last 2 years) Why do you expect that to change now?

2012 - #2, #5, #8, #10 (played within a month and in a row)
2011 - #2, #7, #10, #20
2010 - #2, #8, #19, #22, and #24
2009 - #1 and #3
2008 - #1, #3, and #13
LSU's ranked opponents at the conclusion of the regular season (Before SECCG). LSU has played a rough schedule regularly and especially the last three seasons.
With TCU, UGA, A&M, UF, and Bama on the schedule 2013 will again be a very tough schedule. LSU has been very successful facing probably one of the more difficult schedules over recent years.
With the schedule I would expect it will be tough to contend though considering the cakewalks that Bama and A&M have in comparison.

Wait until we curb stomp TCU in their backyard and then go to Bamako and tAm comes to tiger stadium.
Bamako, tAm, Florida, and ole miss will be the games to watch nationally next year.
