Anyone ever fished with a yak in Lake Pelba? Was thinking of making a quick trip tomorrow afternoon to try to get something for the grease.

I've only fished the southside of Henderson Lake, never this area. Anyone fish this area have any information, no spots, just general things.

I'm thinking of heading down on Saturday, but will probably stop in Leeville and fish the cuts behind Bobby Lynns.

i ve fished henderson a decent bit now and can only catch bass in it, but im going for sac a lait most of the time though. ive never launched from the boat launch b/w the interstate bridges but have fished that area before.

mostly catch the bass on crankbaits and spinners

i went to Cypremort Point this AM bc i saw the salinity was high and had off work, BUT got there late and the wind was kicking. i didnt go very far and had no action.

Pelba is the deepest water in the Henderson area.
I saw an old man catch the biggest sac-a-lait I've ever seen right off the interstate pilings where Pelba crosses.
I also like to fish the little islands parallel to the interstate.
The canal north of I-10 between Pelba and the I-10 boat launch holds fish.
I've seen many people catch bream and sac-a-lait off the old railroad pilings too.

Thanks for the tips. I can usually get a few bass by the I 10 pilings but Closer by the west side levee where I launch from
