A lot of people in this thread have overrated TE's badly.

Gronk is a 10 because he does it all.

Graham and Gonzo would be 9's due to their great pass catching ability and what they bring to the table

Vernon Davis would be an 8 due to his versatility and that is probably it for the 8's.

The rest are no better than 7's at best and there might be only like 5 of them.

Oh besides that D. Thomas should no way be given ay higher grade that Marcus Colston. You want to give them the same grade fine, but 1 great season does not equal greatness (DT) and Colston has been good now for a while but never great.

As a pure runner yea, but this is whole package which puts him at a 8.5-9 in my book.

AP and Foster would be the only 10's and Foster is barely on the fringe there.

This is the closest thing to a true evaluation I've read. Way too many 10's being given out. There may be 2-3 players in the NFL that are true 10's.

ETA: Charles and Bowe are rated a little high (Charles 8-8.5; Bowe 8) but still not bad.

I think that's pretty accurate. Although if graham/gronk are 10s, I'd prob have gonzo at a 9.

I know he didn't do much this past season, but he led the league in receiving yards with Orton and Tebow throwing to him.

If we add up the jets qb's, they too can get a 9.

Who would we call 10's?

Megatron
Gronk
AP
Rogers?

AD and Megatron are the first two that come to mind.

Definitely not:

Lynch
Tony G
Roddy White
Jimmy (and I'm a Saints fan)
and the 55 other players considered 10's in this thread.

Would consider the top 5 QB's in the 9.5-10 range

So since they're the best at their position they're automatic 10's? No room for improvement? I disagree

I consider a 10 the top 5 at each position. The people listed above are prob top 5 at their positions.

That's fair. My scale doesn't include all time, mine is strictly based on how players rank today among each other.
