Yeah I saw that the other night. Just finished season 1 and wow. I've got too many questions to even begin to list so I will stick with my impression of the show so far.
I really like it. The balance between human conflict and science fiction is fantastic. They do an awesome job of showing the cast fight the elements, themselves and the unknown. I can't wait to start season 2 tonight.

I forget the best character on the show doesn't even get introduced till the 2nd season. The two best characters, really.

Since it sounds like he got to the part with the hatch, what did everyone think was in it when they first saw it? I thought it was a kind of safe house they built ala Blast from the Past.

Two episodes into season 2 and wow I did not see Desmond coming. Also, Walt's mom is a selfish bitch. That is all. Be back tomorrow with more.

She really was. I had no idea a living person would be down there. At first when they just showed a long haired guy on a bike, I thought it was a Sawyer flashback. The Michael flashback/on the raft was one of the first filler episodes to me.

Shannon has issues. I understand her need to be believed in because nobody else ever did but damn she is dumb sometimes. She reminds me of Carl from TWD, just walks off on her own into the woods and bam look what happens.

The last 5 or so minutes of the season 1 finale left me completely on the edge of my seat. I couldn't wait to get into season 2. I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Desmond was probably the only character that I never disliked. That's one of the great things about this show is that my feelings were constantly changing about each character.

Prepare to love him more than almost any character you've ever seen on TV before. He's pretty universally loved.

You disliked most of the characters? I had the completely opposite view. I found them very hard not to like.

The poster you're asking said that he "never disliked". I took that to mean that he didn't dislike Des at any point in time. I would say most of the main characters, at some point or another in the show, can be somewhat unlikable at times.

Now I'm curious as to how he returns seeing as he just ran off into the jungle. I have a couple hypothesis of what would happen if they didn't enter the code but I'm probably way off.

Yea sorry for the double negative. My feelings for the characters were not always consistent is what I meant. I would really like one for one of the seasons and then start disliking them for something they did or didn't do throughout the next. I always like Desmond though.....and Echo

Post em, dude. Go for it.
Just put a disclaimer or something about how you don't want to know if you're right or whatever, just posting your theories. Will also be cool once you're finished with the series to be able to look back at this thread and see what you were thinking along the way.
