Recommendations needed for food and cocktails in Dallas

I'll be staying at The Joule and will be attending a concert at the McFarlin Auditorium. I'm looking for a good pre-concert gastropub near the venue and some recommendations for a great dinner near the hotel for the following night.
Recommendations for a nice cocktail bar near the hotel would be appreciated too.

Not sure if I would call it a "Gastro Pub" but I would recommend The Grape on Lower Greenville. Looks to be 4 miles from your hotel and well worth your drive. Great wine list, apps and charcuterie. I would skip the entrees and just get a bunch of small plates. The Lamb Tartines, Muscles, Herb Frites, Mushroom Soup, and a Chef's meat and Cheese plate would all hit the mark. My favorite restaurant in Dallas. Owned by a great couple. The Husband is the Chef and his wife is the Somielier. Never had a less than stellar experience there in about 10 visits.
The Porch is another cool place. Also 4 miles from your hotel. Great bar and food.

Meddlesome Moth (a short cab ride from your hotel)is one of the best true gastropubs in the country. Your venue is near SMU and mostly bars, not so much gastropubs, nearby. But if you must eat nearby check out Nodding Donkey SMU for good bar scene and food.

I've never looked forward to dining and getting shitfaced as much as I now feel after spending the last hour scouring the menus of these fine establishments.

Victor Tango's is also a good gastro-pub near McFarlin. Off Knox Henderson area......

The barley house is ok also. I will be cooking all u can eat crawfish over there in a couple weeks
