Right...I didn't mean to suggest otherwise. In most part, I think this is exactly what Miles ever wanted from the guy. We'll win on defense, ST and don't kill us. Miles and Crowton created the Lee turnover monster in 2008 and then was terrified of him the rest of his career, opting for what he saw as the safer option.

Sure...I'd have let T-Bob play under center at some point to try something. The game wasn't all on JJ, but unlike the first BAMA game he actually DID put us in bad spots...not just do nothing. Nothing is better than a negative...and he gave us a negative that night.
