The 2nd episode was also the beginning of Arya becoming one of my favorite characters

I was hooked when she bullseyed the target in Season 1, Episode 1. The books have only cemented that sentiment. She is my favorite.

Yeah I wish Sansa was more like her. Arya would have taken care of Joffrey

Arya is annoying as hell in book 3. Then out of nowhere her story gets fricking awesome. I can't see how you could stand her before that.

I haven't read the books. Try to keep that kinda stuff out of this thread. I wanted it to just be discussion of what happened in season 2 in the show. Thanks

Probably because I watched the first two seasons before reading any of the books.

Cap, you may want to edit your title in the OP with a No Book Spoilers/Discussion tab because I'm sure not everyone is seeing where you're posting it throughout the thread.

Re-watched most of the episodes with my wife this weekend (we're both fanatics of this series, show and books). ** Possible Spoilers if you haven't watched all of season 2! **

Some thoughts about season 2 characters and heading into season 3..

• Tyrion is absolutely my favorite character of this entire series. The scene with him testing Master Pycelle, Littlefinger, and Varys about marrying Cersei's daughter off was excellent, as was the battle scene in the second to last episode of the season. Brilliantly done.

• I have not read up to book 3 yet, but I have this feeling that Arya Stark is going to be a badass in season 3 (and storm of swords book). She's clever, cunning and will probably be more skilled with the sword by then, too.

• I absolutely hate Joffrey and really hope he bites it soon. The hound character is somewhat intriguing, and the guy the plays him was cast perfectly for the role (as was most of the characters)

• Stannis Baratheon: the guy is hard to like and I'm curious as to what his next move is, considering that much of his army was crushed during the siege of King's Landing.

• Daenerys: I thought season 2 was a little slow for her role (minus the whole house of the undying scenes). It looks like season 3 is going to have more action with her involved. Hope so at least.

There's so much to this show that it's hard to just sum up in one post without writing an essay. Just great stuff all around.

I think for perspective sake with Stannis you have to keep in mind he's a little bitter about Robert favoring Renly and even Ned Stark over him. He accepted Dragonstone when he wanted Storm's End instead and knows Robert felt Ned Stark was more of a brother to him then either Renly or Stannis. It's certainly left him cold and salty.

Stannis is a badass.

Also, I think Cersei and Tyrion's scenes in season two are some of the best in the series so far.

I really hope she does something in season 3. I really wish she had done more in season 2, but the end of the season made me feel better about what she'd do in season 3

Just watched Ep. 4 "Garden of Bones":

This is where Dany gets annoying for me. God love her but she does.

Two things are almost guaranteed natural birth control: Working with kids and creepy shadow babies.

Tywin Lannister really is that "villain" you just can't help but love. You know he's a ruthless bastard but he's so damn witty.
