Every Electronic music fan should experience Sensation White

Just got back from my second one. This time it was in Belgium. This event is really like no other 20k+ people all dressed in white and its like being in a giant club. It blows any festival or arena show away b/c the Dj's spin like they are in a night club throw along with the production its just not a stage with led lights and playing main stream songs.
People from all over Europe come to these shows, we got drunk pre gaming with some royal engineers at the irish pub and you meet tons of amercians studying abroad even though it was annoying having them keep asking if i could find them molly once i told them i live in europe, you ant getting that shite over here when your right next to Holland, you are getting the hard shite
The line up for this one was

Nice, would love to go. Slowly but surely the production companies here are putting a greater focus on the "experience."

I would love to go to a big party like that. Dallas used to have some decent shows at Stark/Area 51 back in the day but it was nowhere near that scale. Biggest party I've ever attended was at Space in Miami about a decade ago... and STILL nowhere near that awesome.

On the contrary, if you are into stuff like Sensation and the flyer below, you are dumb. Maybe you aren't a dumb human being, but you have horrible taste in electronic music. Sasha said recently "Most EDM is made by douchebags for douchebags." I'm not going to sit here and try to educate you on what is going on. This is the music section of a college sports board, not an electronic music forum. It's just this poppy, stupid garbage that gets passed off as electronic dance music gets on my nerves. It should be called electronic jump up and down music, and yes, it's dumb.

Why can't you? Sensation tours around the world and was in New York recently. Or just hit up your local Electric Daisy/Ultra Music parties. Or you could go to the next giant "glow" party that happens. Plenty of dumb stuff like this is going on. Cirque de Soleil is opening a nightclub in Vegas, you could go there. Jump on the bandwagon. Have a ball!

Never said that at all. There is amazing stuff happening out there right now. Most importantly though, these giant pop DJs are nowhere near it.

Music, like any art, is based on opinion. Worrying yourself over what other people listen to because in their opinion it's enjoyable makes you seem like a jaded old grump.

fair enough, and I resemble that remark to some extent. But if someone says that every fan of something which I am a fan of should do what I consider silly you can expect me to chime in. My stance is if you are really an electronic music fan, you would not be anywhere near this type of thing.

that flyer/lineup is garbage.
the funny thing is that the other thread with that flyer had people saying you havent experiences electronic music live unless youve been to something like that in europe

thats not what he was saying. the music is as good as ever and is as big as its ever been.
the problem is that with this success and popularity comes a whole mess of shite music thats thrown in your face like these giant festivals with djs like guetta/aoki/etc
