He's the biggest troll in threads like this. Or he's actually that ignorant. Either way.

I can't believe anyone can argue that Tiger is the greatest golfer of all time. He's the best golfer in the last 15 years, but GOAT? No, he has a ways to get there.
Jack won 18 majors and has more top 5 finishes than anyone else, and Tiger isn't close to that.
Not to mention Jack's influence on course design, the Ryder Cup, and his appreciation for the history of the game.

I get that 20 year old's who never saw the pros in the 60's-80's have no appreciation for the competition and accomplishments, but this is a odd argument about who is the GOAT. There' no conversation to have yet.

Have you ever watched him play? Everything isn't always based 100% on how many/how much you've won. And even if it was, theirs a really good chance he goes down with the most victories anyway

Yes, I've seen him play, and yes, he is the greatest player of the current generation. I didn't say anything to take away from what he has accomplished. GOAT? No he's not. Why is that so hard?

How can you not believe it. If he is in fact the greatest player of his generation, than that pretty much by default puts him in discussion for the greatest of all time

Because he has been better and more dominant than jack at every stage of his career. Not really hard to understand.

That's like saying that Shaquille O'neal is better than Pete Maravich because of when he played. If you want to put a time frame on it, fine, I already said he was the best in the last 15 years, but it seemed the discussion was GOAT. Different conversation.

what?

You talking about best LSU basketball player ever I guess?

I mean obviously it's Pistol Pete, but if you're going to put someone in competition with him than picking someone who was the best of his time would make sense I would think

I never say anything personally about other posters, but whatever. I get it, you guys are young and never saw players in another generation play, so it's just not something you can wrap your heads around. You guys can have this thread, no more comments from me. Enjoy.

No it's you old guys who have trouble comprehending things. you won't accept that somebody can be better than someone who played in the past

Umm, no it's not. You're presenting a false argument.

Basically what he is saying is that because PP was the greatest of his generation, and Shaq the "best" of his (for the sake of this argument), then by default they should both be considered in the running for the GOAT

Tiger. He is going to destroy Jack's majors record when it's all said and done.

I'm seeing signs that his dominating game is returning. I'll defer judgement to mid April. I want to see how he plays at Augusta.
