You are right here............ Amazing, But it also proves my point of overall weaker competition..........

nah, it proves that tiger woods is the GOAT. 6 USGA titles in a row, 25% winning percentage on tour, 142 straight cuts made, 4 majors in a row, 5 tour wins in a row - three times, etc. that is like someone in today's NBA putting up wilt numbers.

Is it easier to have to outlast 10-20 guys capable of winning a major over 4 rounds, or 60-70?

Its easier to beat 12 future hall of famers compared to over 20 tho. It goes both ways. This is a dumb argument tho. Tiger is playing in deeper fields...Jack played top heavy. Nobody can say who played the better competition.

The golf hall of fame is terrible, there's a ton of people that don't deserve to be in there to begin with.

Until he hits 18. He is NOT the GOAT. And as of now he hasn't won a major in 5 years and I don't think he EVER will again. And I like Tiger, Well I did until he destroyed his family by being a selfish prick...... So YES I hope he fails. I watch him play golf and treat him like the Cowboys. I root for him to lose.......

This has nothing to do with anything. When the peg is put in the ground on Thursday at a major, there are people who aren't going to compete. They're just there to fill out a field. There were a lot more of those guys then vs today

THIS is what is different about TIGER after his fall-out... He had SUCH A HUGE mental advantadge over other golfers.... He does NOT have that anymore.........

Not sure why people are bringing up how many majors Jack's contemporaries won. It really doesn't prove much about the competition back then.

Angel Cabrera was #9 in the world 2 years before he won the US Open. Not a fill in.

Y.E. Yang was in the top 40 players in the world. Not a fill in.

There are more players that peg it that can win any major or any tournament today than there were back then

In golfing news....Scott Sterling can birdie 18 for a 61 in Web.com event. Good for Scott. Nicest guy I ever played with.

bob may took tiger to extra holes.....Bob freaking May. and guess what he shot - 270 which included a 66 in the final round. when you have no-names throwing up 66's in the final round of a major against tiger, you know it is pretty fricking hard to win.

FWIW, I've been saying Sneds wins a major this year since he won the FedEx Cup last year.

It absolutely is. The game is deeper from the PGA Tour down past the Hooters.

But you're welcome to continue on with your wrong opinion because you want to still worship the old players you watched
