Seriously you're an idiot, I'm no longer going to think of you as someone with a valid opinion on anything. The thing I hate the most about this board is that if you played your sport 10-30 years go you are automatically tougher, smarter, and more of a competitor to guys today. It's fricking stupid. Why do you say guys today "aren't gritty?" In 30 years everyone will be saying how Phil and Ernie were the greatest competitors ever and whoever is playing then is complete shite and doesn't have the heart

hey guys the line to say dumb stuff starts right here

Okay, I tell you what, smart arse. Instead of being a dick, why don't you tell me the modern day contemporaries who rank here in all time majors:

9 (Watson)
8 (Player)
7 (Palmer)
6 (Trevino)
5 (Ballesteros)

Before you continue, remember that Faldo won his last major before Tiger won his first. That leaves Els with 4 and Mickelson with 4. Congratulations, their 8 COMBINED leaves them 1 short of Tom Watson.

Yeah, but its easier to be a bitch and make snarky comments, right?

And the PGA wasn't considered a major until well into Jack's career, and it wasn't the event it is today until the mid 1960s, so Jack and some of his contemporaries overlapped a three-major era.

Wait what? The PGA championship has been a stroke play event since 1958 and people have been considered "major" winners since 1916, even when it was match play.

The PGA was the week after the Open until 1965. Few participated in both.

And weren't Jack's two Amateur titles considered majors too during his career?

All of this. And right in cue PJ gets up in here to remind us that Tiger has no one pushing him. Using this stupid logic Old Tom Morris must be the only legit golfer. He is the oldest after all.

And the thing I hate about this board is that ESPN has conditioned you to believe that everything you are watching right now is THE GREATEST THING OF ALL TIME, even if it doesn't make fricking sense. Like Jack Nicklaus had shittier competition because they don't have Hunter Manan's workout regimen.

And here we go again with another old timer. Unless I'm missing your point.
