Aaron Ross and Dawan Landry Cut By the Jags...Should We?

According to Ryan O’Halloran of the Florida Times-Union, the Jags have released cornerback Aaron Ross, along with their earlier cut of safety Dawan Landry.
The 30-year-old Ross spent one year with the Jags, starting nine games. Along with free agents Rashean Mathis and Derek Cox (who are eligible to be tampered with at midnight), the Jags have a lot of holes to fill in the back of their defense.
The move creates more than $3 million worth of salary cap room for the Jags, who have plenty of uses for it.

Interesting. He's the same age as Harper and a similar player. I think it makes Harper more expendable and cheaper if nothing else.
That said, I'd still rather have William Moore.

met the Landry guy in avondale when i got off of a train by his house..he has one of those big arse f650 or whatever they are the football players drive..seemed like a nice guy..we stopped and talked to him for a minute..

I thought the same thing. I really wanted Ross in the draft. Has he been in the league that long?

Ross really looks used up. Landry I dunno if much different than Harper in total skills or value in what he would cost.

Ross was older than most when he came in the league. Was a debate at the time if it was worth the investment for an older corner.
