I went this past summer, south country, trek 9. Saw Mt. Philips and Trail Peak, and then some of the most beautiful sites on the planet. LINK /

Went in summer of 1987, still ranks as one of my top 10 life experiences. Mount Baldy, as high as I have ever needed to be. Still have my leather belt from Philmont, been a while since it fit.

I love the whole Northern NW/Southern CO area. My son and I did a long trek at Philmont in 2004 with my son. Climbed Baldy and the Tooth. Good times...

Awesome place that is. One of my kiddos did Philmont in 2011. Was quite an adventure.

Wanted to go in my scout days, wish I would have stuck with it and went to one of the high adventure camps and got my Eagle.

My son's troop is gearing up now for a trip in 2014. I hear it is a once in a lifetime experience.

I always wanted to go, but never made it. I got my Eagle award early and got out of scouts...

I never could make it because sports always got in the way. I have a few friends that went and said that it was awesome.

I went in summer of 1983. I don't remember trek#, but I will always remember the experience. We did climb the Tooth. i also remember our first camp, the first day, was a dry camp; and having to haul water fom the Cimarron River for five miles. Also remember sleeping under the stars one night; so many stars and crystal clear. I agree that it is a top ten life experience. To this day, I still have my trail map. Absolutely awesome time and I would highly recommend to any parent with a son in Boy Scouts.
