1911 question

i am considering upgrading this pistol for a carry gun. How bad do you think it would affect the value if i use this as a shooter? Colt said fewer than 911 of these were made. Should i leave it unfired and stock or go ahead and upgrade?

Why on God's green earth would you use a limited edition gun, a Colt at that as a carry weapon?

i bought this gun at a pawn shop wanting a series 70 for a build. The owner must have had no idea that it was a limited edition. Neither did I.

Once I've bought a 1911 I've never sold it and I don't ever plan too.
