I have The UTG 3x9-32 Bug Buster pictured above mounted to a UTG Mid Rail. Absolutely love it. Problem is you can't find this scope any place in stock. Amazon and everyone else out of stock showing 1-2 months on back order. Look around in the internet though. I finally found a supplier in Orgeon ( Gungear.com) that had a few. Great company and would definately do business with again.

Just about any RDS or scope will do fine on a .22, since there's no recoil to disturb your zero. I have a cheap Simmons 3-9x scope on a Marlin .22 magnum, and it's one of the most accurate set-ups I have (next to my AR-10 with a Burris 4-16x scope)

I stuck an Aimpoint T-1 on my new 15-22, just because I had two NIB extras sitting in a box. The 15-22 is plenty accurate with the 2 MOA dot. I haven't found a calm day to shoot at 50 yards, but at 25 yards I'm getting 1/2-inch 5-shot groups with Mini-Mag ammo (1" groups with Wal-Mart Federal value pak ammo).

Based on what I've seen with mine, picking the right ammo will be more important than which scope or RDS you pick.

I'm betting anything in the $50 range will do fine on the 15-22, whether it's a RDS or a scope.

UTG 3-9x32 Compact CQB Bug Buster
Not sure about the scope, but I bought those rings to mount my Simmons 3-9x32. Supposedly they're legit

Hebert Guns in Prairieville had one in stock the last time I was in there a few weeks ago. It was $99 though.

Dvor just ran a special on a Redfield 1-6x24. I would like to try it. It's a little over $100, though. I'm such a fanboy of 1-4,1-6 variables. And I don't know why. I think they just look cool.

That UTG that I posted is what I out on mine. I got it from Amazon. It's been used a lot and still holds its zero just fine. No problems at all. Good luck.
