I'm talking about the homemade. Not mandas packaged boudin. Maybe Mathernes on highland? Boudin makes a great breakfast food in my opinion.

In LSU area? Maybe go across the river and go to Bergerons. Best in the area will be Ronnies (some of the best boudin balls in state) But thats not going to be close to LSU.

The smoked boudin at Bergeron's just across the river is the best in the Baton Rouge area and is only a 5-10 minute trek from campus if you catch the bridge right.

No clue.. Owners have a relation to the owners of Best Stop. Not sure about any relation to Opelousas.

You can't find it near LSU. You have to go to Bergeron's across the river at the Lobdell exit, Ronnie's on Florida past Cortana, or Jerry Lee's in Central.

ehhh I dont care for Jerry Lees. too heavy on rice and there is a flavor in it I dont really care for. Ronnies is as close to Acadiana area boudin meat market as you will find in BR.

Thanks for the tips. I'm from Acadiana where you can get boudin almost anywhere.

I really don't understand the love for Jerry Lee's.

Certainly not the boudin. Hog's head is serviceable.

Me either. I have family members that will drive out there to get it. I drive to Bergerons instead.
