I've yet to shoot the SR1911 so I can't say much about it other than it feels like a 1911.

If I was buying one I don't know if I would be able to not get a colt. There is just something about owning a gun with that horse on the grips.

As much as others hate it, it's the first handgun I really learned on. I'm in the same boat. I can shoot pretty well with mine. Then again, my 1911 is by far easier to shoot.
