In case you didnt know, Doc played his best years as a 1 and a 2 guard with the Hawks with NBA greats Dominique Wilkins and Spudd Webb.

LINK

They are roughly the same size, and play the same position

He had some 14/10/5 kind of years in his career

I would be pretty much shocked if Austin ever gets anywhere close to doing that

his dad was a 45% shooter in his prime, if you were to tell me Austin gets to that point, then we'd have a pretty damn good player

Austin Rivers is one of the worst players in the NBA

Doc scored double digits 8 straight years. Once average 10 assist a game for a season. Shot over 45% his first 7 seasons in the NBA. Over 42% his frst 11 seasons.

Yeah that would be a major disappointment

Are you saying because Doc's so much cooler and you'd rather him have the River's legacy? Doc could ball man, Austen's gonna be pushing for a roster spot in 3 years

About league average now. Below league average in the '80s.

Stop. People said the same thing about JR Smith. The league is too watered down with crap players thanks to expansion for this to happen. If Tyrus Thomas is still in the league, Austin will be for years to come.

Jr has a lot more natural talent than rivers. He's just a head case

AR shooting 47% since Feb 1 (15 games), 46% from 3. Not filling up the stat sheets or anything, but he's been playing efficiently with good defense. It's a small sample size, but so was his horrible start.

Hell no I wouldn't be disappointed if Austin was as good as his dad. Doc was a solid player. Did you ever watch Doc Rivers play?
