Aran Smith updated his Top 100 big board for the 2013 NBA draft today and was his first update since the beginning of February. At the beginning of Feb, he had JOB III as the #83 overall prospect, despite JOB III being very dominant in most every game since then, and what looks to be GREAT news for LSU, is he dropped him 5 spots to #88 on his Top 100 Big board. So, as far as draft projections go, I'd say it looks VERY favorable for JOB III to return for his junior season.

I'v checked a few other Top 100 big boards, and he doesn't even appear on CBS Sports' which was last updated in early February nor draftexpress' which was updated a week ago.

He ain't leaving.

He could possibly become a lottery pick next year with the team he will have around him.

I dont see lottery pick in him but I do see late 1st round potential. If he develops a consistently good jumper though, that could change.

Doubtful he is a lottery pick next year. Most of what people are saying about the 2014 draft is it will be one of the strongest drafts in the last 10 years or so. The 2013 draft is considered much weaker to the point NBA GMs have said multiple HS players could be in this draft and be the #1 pick.

He doesn't seem very athletic to me and that means if teams agree he won't be a lotto guy, but like someone said, a late first round guy.

He's not a 1st rounder this year. Tack Minor once declared for the draft so you never know who'll leave. Historically SEC players have been particularly bad at this decision.

Imagine this 2 deep:

PG - Hickey/Quarterman
SG - Morgan/Stringer
SF - Martin/Coleman
PF - JOB3/Mickey
C - Odo/Malone

if he's smart.

Wasn't he considering leaving after last season?

He understands the situation. To get a good draft spot you need two things. Skills and hype. He has skills, but he could come into next year with possible SEC POTY hype which will help get him drafted.

NBA is a business. They want to win, but more importantly, they want to sell tickets.

It's will be impossible for him to be a lottery pick when all lottery picks will be from kentucky team. Those twins they have coming next year from another planet and that's just the start.

This is not encouraging.

I don't think so. From everything I've heard he really likes the way LSU is playing and wants to see it through. I think he is 100% committed to coming back.

He will gain a lot from coming back. I think he has learned a lot under Coach Jones and staff and knows he will get better playing against the post players that we have coming in. He knows the team will get some national attention next year and best players on good team get recognized.

Hope you're right, but with the weak draft class of 13 you never know.
