Serge Ibaka isnt any bigger.
Ibaka's fricking chiseled. Same with Ben Wallace. Perkins is strong as hell.

would be a great defensive front court.
Maybe eventually. But neither of those guys can guard a real NBA center. We avoid putting Davis on low post PFs and Cs at all costs.

We'd get bullied for years having two guys built like Kevin Durant playing PF and C, until they bulk up.

Good thread, at this point I am on the Otto bandwagon. I cannot wait for the tourny!

he plays 27MPG

Chicken or egg? His lack of strength wears him down and limits his minutes.

This is the bottom line for me. That would be a beast frontline in college, but it's not suited for the NBA.

Nerlens is going to be like Drummond last year. Some people will love him, some will hate him, and no one really knows where he will go in the draft.

Let me throw out CJ McCollum's name. He's an interesting case and was considered this year's Lillard before his injury

I'm probably starting to sound redundant at this point, but I'm absolutely baffled at the lack of respect Trey Burke gets as an elite player. These mocks drooling over Smart, but barely sneaking Burke into the lottery has me confused.

I'd take Burke all day over Smart.

He'll probably be available in the 2nd since he's been out for so long this year. He'd be a steal there.

Most mocks still have CJ in the middle of the 1st.

Here is tape on Rudy Gobert, 7'1" guy out of France. Many say he is the best foreigner this year.

Great thread Gyno

I don't watch much college basketball that isn't LSU until the tournament. Its nice to see them all listed by strengths and weaknesses

Its good to see we have plenty of options because depending on what happens between the end of the season and the draft with FA and trades, our #1 priority could be a C, SF, or G.

He's probably consensus top 3 without the knee injury, but you never know. Does Portland have a chance at him?

I agree. It wasn't my intention to hijack it with all the knee talk, but it will probably be the big issue heading into the draft.

I know one thing, a combo of him and Davis down low would make an incredible defensive combo

Unless Portland wins the lottery they'll be in the 11-13 range

they're at 27 wins right now

Even if this is true, which I'm not sure it is, Anderson is not a SF. If you want Noel you either need to move Anderson or you'll be using a pick on a big that will get 25 minutes a game when you could have used on a wing that would get 35 minutes a game. I'm all for BPA, so I can see scenarios in which we pick Noel and figure out to do with him later, I just hope we don't have to make that choice.

I was more making a joke about them drafting lottery picks with busted knees.

why is everyone down on Anthony Bennett? Hes a big guy but Carmelo was 240 coming out of college too and he plays SF

he's obviously not Carmelo but he has similar build and height I think he can play SF I'd love to have him

I've been all over Bennett and wouldnt mind having him at all. But Porter and Oladipo's recent emergence has me liking them more and more.

I wouldn't be against trading back to get him or trading back into the 1st to get him.
