I was thinking about trying this today. Anyone have any experience? Heading out to start the smoker. I'll try to update with pics later.

I found this gem of a video while researching. Slightly NSFWish due to some language but is entertaining. Anyone know this guy IRL?

Going to smoke them at 225 for about 3 hours or so then planning to mix with ground beef.

Just took them off after smoking 2.5 hrs at 225-240. They smell fantastic.

Boudin patty

All beef on left, boudin right front, beef boudin mix back right

Final product boudin patty. Superb flavor! IMO was better than the beef/boudin patty. I didn't use flour or egg wash and really didn't need it. It had a nice crust. I can only imagine if I had used something other than Manda.

I've done boudin poboys... not burgers.

Was pretty simple, and tasty.

seems like way too much carbs and not enough meat

There is a food truck in NOLA that sells a boudin burger. Haven't got my hands on one yet but I hear its pretty popular.

I say mix w/ ground beef but that's b/c I think it would be too much carbs otherwise.

I don't know dude. If you're thinking about frying boudin and putting it on a hamburger bun I don't think you're worried that much about a little more carbs.

I just like a nice hunk of meat for my burger. Not 50/50 rice and meat between 2 pieces of bread.

He's making boudin burgers... don't think carbs are the main concern here.

Yeah, this is all kinds of fricked up. First, Manda's boudin. Then firing up a smoker.

Smoked or grilled rice that's already been cooked...yum.
