Dunno about that, I'd say nearly 10 years of a quality #2 receiver is worth a 2nd round pick.

Dont get me wrong, He had a nice NFL career and I appreciate everything he's done for the saints, but to say he had one of the best hometown careers in sports history is wrong

Born in Louisiana.

Started at LSU, responsible for one of the most memorable plays in LSU history, the blue grass miracle, also has a national championship ring.

Drafted by the Saints, has a super bowl ring with the saints, and caught the Unitas record breaking catch.

He was born in Louisiana, played at LSU, played his nfl career with the Saints and made some very memorable plays at both levels. Who has had a better hometown career here?

Just playing a little devil's advocate here.

Can you name me another professional athlete who was a starter for a team that won a Championship for both the flagship school of a state and professional team of a state?

(Extra points if you can give me a guy who won an ESPY and was involved in a record setting play.)

The only person that might come into play is Dalton Hillard. He doesn't have the rings but he certainly had a bigger impact on the stats.

With that said, I could go with either one and feel perfectly fine with it.

It was a busted coverage, but he had the most wide open bomb for a TD I've ever seen in the home game against Carolina in 2009. There wasn't anybody within 25 yards of him and he jogged 50+ yards for a TD. The whole Dome saw it about .5 second before Brees did and started going ape shite before the ball was even thrown. It was awesome

72,000'ish people were pointing at Devery screaming "throw it to Henderson!!"

Meanwhile, 11 Carolina players were herpa derping.

Not bad for a RB that was down the depth chart at LSU. I still think they converted him to WR because "hey, it worked with Josh Reed".

He's pretty damn quick!
