Why are you harping on last year? This is a different team. Freshmen are contributing well.

I have put a mental block on it, yet it seems to pop up here so much that it is hard to forget

What is your point with this comment?

You don't follow baseball very much if you think a 26th and 33rd round draft pick are a big deal.

I love when people are wrong about something and they try to turn it around.

Where exactly did I say getting drafted in the 26th round was a big deal? I didn't. You asked how many of their rag arms pitchers got drafted because you clearly had no clue and I answered your question by telling you that 3 were drafted. Also, not sure why you quoted the pitcher that got drafted in the 12th round and said getting drafted in the 26th and 33rd round isn't a big deal.

Also, you must not be very smart if you think getting drafted in the 26th round doesn't imply the pitcher is pretty talented.

Like that's going to happen.

We are going to suck no matter what for 3 years because of that.

Because some posters in this thread are excusing poor hitting as "we never hit well when it's cold".

I do think that this team will hit better than we have in the past 3 years. But right now, we the final games of a weekend series against a bad Southland Conference team 2-0. We have had two great pitching outings by Nola and Eades turn into no decisions because we haven't scored any runs for them.

No, they turned in to no decisions because the bullpen failed to hold the lead and gave up runs.

What difference does it make whether or not Nola and Eades get the win, as long as the team wins the game?

That is easily the biggest drop I've ever seen in a poll.

Stony Brook's pitching staff was below average, FACT.

They gave up over 5 runs a game in the Miami regional.

LSU scored 2.6 runs per game (including 3 extra innings in game one)

They gave up over 10 runs a game in Omaha.

We lost to stony brook last year and they are 0-8. we lost 1 game out of 11, we haven't won by enough, we aren't consensus number 1, and we aren't leading the SEC in every major offensive category.

Rant conclusion: We suck.
