Loaded? The teams they beat have a combined record of 19-16. I don't call that "loaded."

Gotta be honest, how UNC has not jumped LSU yet in the CDN poll is just ridiculous. I love my Tigers but compare the bodies of work. UNC just ran train on a loaded Astros Classic, they also swept a CWS team (granted right now SB is a shadow of last years team)

Every point you tried to make in this post is wrong. But yes UNC should get some consideration for the top spot.

we are nowhere close to the best team in country, but these polls are just something to talk about for right now

Our weekend rotation is to go with a pretty good bullpen! Team BA is .323 Team ERA under 2. Sounds like a top 5 team to me and in college baseball the top 5 are interchangeable. The top team won't stay at the top long.

Without a doubt LSU is a top 10 program. Katz, rhymes, ross, and hamburgerman do that themselves. Studs for starters but what about the bullpen? Inexperienced or what?

i think the bullpen is going to be really good. you have two lefties in bonvillain and cotton and joey b has been really good as well. high hopes for rumbelow but too early to tell since he's just now back from his oblique strain.

hunter devall is a freshman PM seems to really like. there are a bunch of other quality arms down there that are talented but inexperienced.

with nola, eades, and glenn lsu wont need but 2 - 3 innings out of their bullpen on most nights. and they have more than enough quality arms for that. and on your occasional off days where the starter doesnt have it they have bonvillain who can throw extended innings.

agree to disagree

i just dont see where people think the hitting is going to come from

game 1 maryland: manage all of one run

game 2 maryland: 0-0 going to bottom 7th

game three maryland: 5-3 before scoring 8 runs in the 8th. credit giving for scoring 5 runs in first 7 innings, but not the impressive blowout the scoreboard indicates

game 4 lamar: freaking lamar holds us to 2 runs for 7 innings???? come on....

game 5 SLU: taking care of busineess (TCB)....good game

game 6 BYU: scrore 2 in the 9th to get the 6-5 win

game 7 ULL: TCB....good win against what will likely be a solid club

game 8 BYU: lone loss on the season...managed one run during first 6 innings

game 9 Brown: manage 4 runs in their first game of the season

game 10 Brown: TCB in 7-1 win

game 11 Nicholls: 2 runs versus nicholls....TWO!

He's right though. I know one characteristic I hate in a team is the ability to win close games, especially early in the season.

ETA: I know he's fricking with RTs.

i dont get upset over not scoring 10 runs when its 30 degrees out. the nicholls game was really the first warm weather game where they didnt hit.

Stony Brook hasn't won a game. Wow, that's shocking.

of course they do, but you have to realize that we are playing teams that do not have nearly the pitching depth that we will see during conference play

fact is that we are having a rougher time than i would have expected scoring runs against the starting pitching of these programs that i don't think will be considered very good once the season is over. we are beating up on thin bullpens, where a substantial decrease in talent is often observed

i hope it changes come conference play, but i believe that we are starting to see how this team will play for the season since we are 11 games into the slate

Hey brah, don't talk bad about our hitting. I'm sure we're number 1 in the conference in some obscure category.

Maryland is undefeated since playing LSU.

Lamar overall is 10-2 and they are usually the top 2 in the Southland year in and year out.

I'm glad you have nit picked every game for LSU. It's not enough that we are 10-1 is it?

Since we aren't good enough to be in Omaha, why don't you tell us who is then? I'm sure we could all nit pick every game another team has played to make it seem like they aren't really that good.
