THEY DID IT YOU GUYS!!! WHOOOOOOOO!

BREAK OUT THE CHAMPAGNE!

AND THE CONFETTI!

On a less funny note, Kobe pulled this little number with 2 minutes left in the game down 1.
Hawk fans were not amused.

I'm pretty sure on replay Josh Smith clearly hit his arm on the shot. Thought it was a good call.

You mean Hawk fans are not amused.

And I hate to agree with a Tech fan on anything but that call was bull. But Kobe is a star and the refs always give them special treatment via not calling fouls they do and giving out fouls on other players that did not happen to give the star the advantage.

Last game of the regular season: Rockets @ Lakers. Could be huge.

I still don't think the Lakers bump Houston out of the playoffs. Utah lost last night, bringing them to 32-28, and Golden State came back against the Raptors to snap a four game skid (33-27). I think those are the two teams most likely to collapse.

Lakers have a back to back in OKC and NOLA, so it looks like they'll still be at .500 Thursday

If they want to be taken seriously they'll need to beat a team like OKC. The top 10 teams have beaten up on them pretty hard this season.

They beat OKC in their last home matchup, but yeah, they need to step up against elite competition. About a week ago, I thought the Lakers competed and played Denver on the road tougher than most teams have this year, but ultimately lost.

OKC is coming off two really tough games, so tonight will be interesting. OKC exposes the Lakers defensively more so than just about any other team.

Not too confident about the game. The Lakers' transition defense has been atrocious this year.
