No that's not what I'm saying. But it is a COLLEGE atmosphere. At the college, free tickets are given to the college students, bars surround the college, college kids drink as do most tiger fans. Drink and drink heavily. I think the liquor, loudness and cursing go hand and hand. Stop one and you stop it all but then you lose everything that makes tiger stadium great and famous.

I totally agree the STTDB just like the Tiger Rag a-hole chant pushes the envelope but every single person, who's not a little stuck up prick, gets a kick out of it. It adds a little something extra. It's something similar to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. You don't let some boobs and curse words ruin it completely for you family right?

Ok pops out in the boon-docks. Where did you get 90% from? Where did you get scream obscenities from? And obviously you missed the joke in the post or you just decided you wanted to be a prick because you went to church today and that makes it ok.
I made a correlation of chanting curse words and college kids and grown men saying curse words. By that I was implying that your going to hear hear it regardless of what you think is right and proper. And being loud doesn't mean you have to be a douche, your right, but it's weird that we are really loud and have a bad reputation in the SEC isn't it?

What really bothers me about STTDB is that it isn't clever, or even funny. Its vulgarity for the sake of being vulgar. If it made sense, that'd be one thing. But it doesn't, it's just a bunch of college kids who are now "adults" so they think its awesome to cuss in public.

I don't take my six year old to mardi gras for this reason. I expect different at a football game.

I'm sorry, I don't buy into the bull shite that suck that tiger dick ruins fans experience. It adds to the atmosphere. If you have a problem with it then don't go to the games. If you bring your children to games then you need to be a parent and simply tell your kids not to repeat what the chant says. Stop bitching about the atmosphere or don't go. It's that simple.

I understand it's what you expect but it's not what you are going to get in the stadium. Have you told your child that he/she will hear and possibly see bad things that are not to be repeated? And that as long as she/he does not say or do these things you will continue to take them to the games?

90 %...where did I get that from ? Maybe from attending games since before my freshman year in 1972 in sideline as well as SEZ / NEZ....with sometimes extremely loud, drinking adults and young adults. Very FEW of which found it necessary to chant obscenities and diminish the game experience for other fans.
I think you're viewing/internalizing the Tiger Stadium experience to just the many moron/douches w/in the student section....come over and sit with the adults some time..lol we generally ignore the antics of the young and dumb !

Exactly. I don't mind hearing cursing, but when they do it just to do it, it makes LSU as a whole look bad.

they should just remove the student section...more money for the University and you wouldn't have to listen to some profanity...win win
