Sweet Potatoes >>> new potatoes in a crawfish boil

Just had sweet potatoes for the first time last night at a boil. I have to say they were far superior to the standard new potatoes, IMO. They softened up nicely and picked up the flavor of the boil.
Anyone else try this??

i actually tried sweet potatoes in my boil for the first time on mardi gras. it was pretty good. but, for me.....it's the little pearl onions that i can't get enough of.

Throw some of those baby Idaho golds up in there. Kapow.

yukon golds work great too, any potato with a thin skin.

I'm going to the store shortly for crawfish boiling items. I will take all of these posts under advisement.

Try to buy smallest possible. May still have to cut them up a bit

Did you peel or cut up these taters or just get the smallest ones you could find?
ETA: never mind. I saw where you kinda touched on this earlier.

They just cut up regular sized ones which worked well but I think buying smallest possible would be best route.
