Standard league rules, non ppr.

who would you take and why?

i honestly would not take a qb until like the 4th or 5th. gotta go RB.
i would take foster. think houston is still hungry and hes proven to get yards, passing yards, and TDs.

who you got?

No way I'm taking Brees, or any other QB, in the 1st next season. If you're in a 10 team league, you have Rodgers, Peyton, Brees, Brady, Ryan, Kaep, Cam, RGIII, Romo, and Big Ben who will all suffice. Not to mention guys like Luck, Wilson, Vick, etc.

I'm going:
AP
Foster
Morris
Ray
Charles
Lynch
Calvin

im going through withdrawals man!!!!

i know most people will say AP.

i just think theres no way he has another good year. RBs that put up freak numbers like that rarely come close to that. i know the thought is if even has 1000 yds and TDs then it doesnt matter. i dont think he will even have that after last year.

and as for a QB, no fricking way. you could get someone with very similar production in like round 5

AP or Foster. I'd lean AP 1st.

Someone should post Peterson's overall finishes throughout his career (ppr). Any top 10s before his career year?

You could make a serious argument that Peterson is the greatest RB of all time. Also I saw a report the other day (sorry can't find link) that AP could not have been 100% until like week 15 of last year. Unless it's 6 pts per passing TD, the obvious choice is Peterson or Foster. I'm not taking a QB til around round 6 and picking up Big Ben, Wilson or Kaepernick.

My top 10

1. Peterson
2. Foster
3. Lynch
4. Rice
5. Charles
6. Morris
7. Martin
8. Megatron
9. Spiller
10. McCoy

He's played 6 seasons. Two top 10 finishes in fantasy.

Most guys who make it to the playoffs and into the top 4 usually have Brees, Rodgers or Brady. Doesnt guarantee shite but definitely carries your team to wins. Guys in the 5th round down wont get 20+ every week like those three do. Plus 6 pt QB TDs is the way to go,

That's a pretty stupid argument. AP has 3 top 11 finishes in the last 4 years. The one year he didn't finish in the top 11 he basically missed the last 6 games and still finished as the #7 RB.

You know how many non QBs have finished in the top 11 of standard scoring over the last 4 seasons? 7 (AP, MJD, CJ2K, Foster, Rice, McCoy, Calvin Johnson). You know how many of those guys have done it multiple times? 1. I think AP has a pretty strong argument as the #1 pick. Certainly as the first non QB taken.

Well, you definitely missed the point.

Yet you made the point beautifully

I'd probably go AP but all of my leagues are auction leagues cuz they are way better than drafts. Qb is way too deep next season to go Qb 1st overall. Or even in the 1st couple of rounds imo

If your point was that AP should be the #1 pick, then sure.
