Brazil plays a second game tonight (although technically, it will be a different day for them). They take on Cuba at 9:30pm.

Watching the replay of this Dutch/Korean game...

The Koreans look like a bad college team.

He was. I don't know if he's backed out or not.

Bump with updated scores and standings.

In pool b action, South Korea is currently leading Australia 4-0 in the 5th. Loser has no chance of advancing to bracket play.

Australia ended up losing 8-0 to South Korea this morning, so there is no chance that they can advance now.

The Netherlands will take on South Korea at 10:30pm tonight, a win and I think they will lock up the second spot behind Japan. I'm not entirely sure what the tiebreaker is. Right now, both South Korea and The Netherlands are 1-1 with one game left to play. If the tiebreaker is based on head to head, then the Netherlands should go because they beat South Korea 5-0. If it's on run differential though, South Korea is currently at +1 while The Netherlands are at 0.

Tough tournament for the Barry Larking coached Brazil team. They were so close to beating Japan in the first game, only to lose all three of their games, including a 5-2 loss this morning to a China squad that was considered the weakest team in the field.

As for this Taipei/Korea game, if Taipei holds on, they win the group.

Just found out that the tiebreaker is based on run differential and not head to head. So if Korea somehow scores 8 runs in their final at bat, they will advance.
