Good Job Demps for not thinking the true Hornet leader couldn't come back from his injury. If he was on this team right now leading these younger guys they wouldn't be the piss poor embarrassment they are at this moment. Best management move to let Captain West walk without even negotiating to keep him to lead the new players.

If he would've resigned they would've traded him to clear more minutes for Davis and Anderson.

There's so much stupidity in this post, it's amazing.

First bit of stupidity, they did negotiate with him but he opted out of his contract with us to go play with a playoff team.

Paul was leaving and he had no intentions on being part of a rebuild.

Next, we wouldn't have the youngsters you mention because with West and a few more vets last year, we wouldn't have had the 1st pick in the draft, genius.

We would've missed the playoffs with West and had something like the 10th and 12th picks. A Rivers/Tyler Zeller combo leaqing us into the future sounds awesome.

No Davis. No Anderson. Likely no Lopez and no Vasquez.

We'd be a shitty team with no hope and you'd be whining like a bitch about it.

Didn't offer him a max contract but give one to a Greg Oden SG.

You're right. We should have offered David West a max contract.

Your problem here is you live in a fantasy land where your brain tells you that it makes sense to plug West into the lineup we have now and wonder what could be.

If you ever make your way back to reality, you'll be amazed by how dumb that is.

Captain West is also playing in the eastern conf!! Kinda like the overkill on mannings hype in the afc west.

You really do try to be the worst poster on this board

David West CHOSE to play elsewhere. Not only was he too old to hang around for a rebuild, he also didn't want to commit to a directionless team with no owner that might not even stay in New Orleans.

You're dumb.

West didn't want to play here.

PF is easily our best position now.

I love how these tards want to say he would be great with the youngsters we got now. they don't stop to realize we wouldn't have the same team we do now if he would still be here. they do this shite with cp3 too if he would still be here we would probably be a 1st round exit still and not have the promising youngsters we have now.

Isn't he a free agent this offseason? Hornets got plenty of cap space to give him a contract to lead these young guys!

Yeah, a PF is exactly what we need. Great thinking. Post of the year there, fellas. Give it up! Spot on!

Pelicans actually need a PF who can make an impact in the game, not a draft bust who quits on the team when he breaks a nail.
