I'm cap dumb when it comes this kind if stuff. Sounds great, but is all this restructuring going to kill us in the coming years?

it has begun and Grubbs was almost definitely going to be one of them..I think the two sides knew that when they signed the contract last off season same goes with Lofton. I like the tactic but what worries me is the Saints will still have to rely heavily on the draft to bring in talent I just dont see how Loomis is going to cut that much cap room to bring in a playmaker...I have faith mostly because he is the GM and I am not.

This type of restructure will push forward a small amount of salary to the coming years same thing goes for the Colston deal. If they were to restructure Brees or something to that sort it would be almost lethal in the next two years. That is mostly why Colston cut just below half of his 2013 salary down, Loomis most likely sees that it would hurt them in the coming years to tear down more.

And people don't realize that Brady is going to hurt the Pats in a couple years because they don't know shite about the cap.

That all depends on the percentage of the guaranteed money that counts against his 2014 and 2015 cap which is most likely alot. If they plan on keeping his salary on the books for a couple years after he leaves (which is when I think Belichik will be done in NE as well) then it makes sense to make a run for more space now.

I'm definitely not hatin' on any of these players but it's not like any of them are making a sacrifice for the team either. Their money is still there.

What I'm wanting to see is some real team spirit from some of the overpriced defense. I'm talking about giving back some of that contractual money to stay on the team...if still wanted that is. I mean you...Smith, Vilma, Harper and maybe even Greer.
