Lack of concentration his two misses in 3rd OT were not even on line. Both short and right, that's pretty bad.

Every player should be required to sink 10 in a row at the end of every practice. 63.5% as a team is pretty weak. We would have won at least 1 or 2 more games if there were just a few more made free throws. 1 point can change the way you manage your possessions at the end of games

People don't do this because set shooting you can control your body better. He doesn't go down far enough therefore does not get enough leg power which causes his arms to throw instead of guide. He needs to get power from his legs and his shot will be more fluent. A jump shot could do that for him. Not enough power equals overcompensation of the shot and will cause the shooter to miss right left and when he has them on line and they are short he doesn't have enough power but is in control. Simple mistakes that happened when he was young therefore he is in the habit now. Hard to change

I'd like to see him go Nick The Quick style and shoot from the middle of the circle myself.

leg strength/push is one of the least important factors in free throw shooting. unless we're talking about someone extremely weak

all this boy needs is proper mechanics and repetition. johnny needs to give eddie p a call

I don't necessarily know that this is the case. I have no idea how many free throws he shoots, but it is probably mental for the most part...or something goofier like the yips. Either way, he has no shot at playing at the next level unless he fixes it.

There is no excuse for someone his size to be that bad at the charity stripe.
