Looking for something in the closet of my boyhood becroom at my mom's house, I came accross a fish I caught when I was little that my dad got mounted for me. The little brass plaque under the mount says: 6-1/2 pounds, June 9, 1969, Delecriox Island, La.

So it's pretty old, but in pretty good shape. But it looks yellowed. But the fins, mouth, etc. are intact. On the backside of the mount there is a sticker that says: Spencers Taxidermy, Orpheum Ave.

There is a Spencers Taxidermy om Metairie Rd, don't know if its the same people or not. When I get a chance I' m going to bring it over there and get them to take a look at it.

But, is it something that can be done? Anybody have any experience with this?

I had a speck mount "redone" The original taxidermy shop did a horrible job on the painting. Brought it to a shop in Marrero I believe and he fixed it.
