I saw the Kill Bills and really did not like Tarentino after that. It just wasn't my thing. Then I saw Django and absolutely loved it. With that said, will I like Basterds? I'm looking for a movie to rent and its between this or Argo.

If you enjoyed Django, you will enjoy IB. Christoph Waltz is amazing in it. Top 10 movie.

Basterds all day. I wasn't blown away by Kill Bill either. You'll like Inglorious Basterds if you liked Django.

Imho...

Django is consistently better throughout than IB. However, IB's "Best Moments" are better than Django. So you might actually like it better.

Great movie.

This is a pretty good way of putting it. I love them both. It's hard to say which I like better, because I've seen IB 6 or 7 times, and only seen Django once.

Also, definitely watch Argo at some point. It's really good.

Loved both movies, but I found the last act of Django - how shall I put it - disappointing. IB wins out for me, but enjoyed both.

IB is a lot better than Django. A LOT better. I like them both very much, but I don't see it as all that close.

IB gets better and better each time you watch it.

It does. It is a stunningly well written film.

People who watch it once focus on the Pitt shtick...but some of those scenes where Tarantino just ratchets up the tension through dialogue alone are amazing.

I agree with this other than I wasn't a huge fan of Django.

This is part of the reason I think Django is better though..

Django was a better "first watch" than IB.

IB was better on repeated viewings. As I've watched Django more....it gets better as well.

So by that...I say Django > IB.

But to each its own.

Sidenote: Whats amazing about Waltz....Not only does he play the best "villain" in a QT movie in IB......I honestly think his character in Django Unchained is the most "likable" in all of QT's movies.
