Agreed, everybody in this thread is arguing over whether he'll smoke or not..

Of course he'll get high, it's only a matter of getting in trouble and not getting in trouble

Likelihood of getting in trouble:

would take him a total of 10 seconds to find weed. Everyone has it. Hell, in some states he can buy it straight from a place.

Its not about him finding weed, that's just dumb. It's that he needs to get away from all the people in his life that have perpetuated the problem.

I would love for the Saints to get him, but I think he would have a better chance of success if he got away from them and started fresh.

Those guys are going to make their plays no matter what in a ball game. One player can't fully cover those types of targets over the middle or on a long ball along the sidelines. The only way they can get stopped is if the CB plays bump and go and knocks them off their route, and the safety comes in to break it up. When you do none of those things you set records for the most yards against in a passing league.

Mathieu has the speed and agility to stay with these types of receivers, so theoretically he could accomplish his part of the exchange. The biggest problem in our secondary, and has been for 2 years, is the very weak safety play. I don't see how he's any more of a risk than any other CB in the draft this year. He's got first round potential and ability, with the added risk of his personal issues. To me a 3rd is not unreasonable.

Also, you mentioned Vernon Davis. More often than not TEs are covered initially by LBs or they pass through LB zones.

you usually draft 3rd round cornerbacks to cover people like Julio, Megatron and Vernon Davis

Actually, what corners cover Veron Davis?

See the problem is everyone thinks tyrann would be some sort of gangbanger had he not gone to LSU

If it weren't for LSU he would be dead, so he should be thankful for LSU and all of its fans because he clearly needs them in his life to control his primal urges. Such is their Burden...

Couple problems with that.

1) How can LSU continue to preserve his existence if he leaves LA?

2) I doubt LA is the only place he can get weed, and his notoriety as the only college student ever to smoke weed will probably increase his pot access.

All joking aside, his dad might be a UPS man but he's also a really strict a-hole. I personally didnt like him but I can see that he probably runs a tight ship at home. Having him very close by is a plus for tyrann.
