Concert ticket prices.

I don't care to pay for a good show, so this is not complaining just can't believe the difference.
Im a big Jimmy Buffett fan. I know a lot on here hate him, to each his own. Anyway he is playing in Nashville soon and I was looking on ebay for some tickets. I noticed there was an unused ticket from his 1997 show in Nashville. I looked at the price on it. 38.75 face value 4.25 con fee. total 43.00. the very same floor seat today will cost you 131.50 face and 31.49 con fee. total 162.99. in 16 years dude has been playing the same songs and quadroupled his ticket prices. In 2029 its gonna cost me 664.00 to hear him sing A Pirate Looks at 40, just one more time...

I think gas was about 1.50 then so 2.5 to 3x that now. I cant think of anything else that has went up 4x as much.

Deftones tickets are over $300 on Stub Hub. I paid less than that for floor seats to Metallica and Tool combined. I have a feeling their will be several unused tickets for that show.

hence the rise of festivals. pay $80 per day to see 5 or 6 acts you choose to see...or over $100 to see some no name opener and someone you want to see.
