This is what happens...

when you leave a pine straw fire unattended.
My brother started a burn pile, waited around for a couple hours then went to town. Dad got a call from the neighbors a couple hours later that the fire department and the forestry service were there. He was in Shreveport at the time, lives outside Minden. This is what was left when he got home.

I know that feeling. I lost my house in an electrical fire in 08. Wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy.

man, sorry about the loss.
you have to be careful or lucky and sometimes both when using fire. i had to piss on my mailbox post in the middle of the afternoon a couple of saturdays ago. i would have had to drink a lot more beer to put your brother's out

We had 2 of those no one wanted. One is in the bayou shoring up a bulkhead and the other might be under the camp.
