He's not on the list at the moment, but he's a year or so from being in the convo.

Also, I think Walcott could possibly have a chance to be in A conversation like this. I'd still take him over Bale despite this recent rich vein of form.

Beast, you don't know anything besides Liverpool. Your opinion is irrelevant.

Realistically I'm not saying he's the best but he has single handedly earned us a draw and 3 wins over the past 5 games!

Anyone else think we should band together and rate/debate the top ten players at each position worldwide?

Make a true SB World XI.

Bc I'm a Tottenham supporter and I definitely think he deserves to be in the convo. This is why I think he will stay for 1 more year (as long as we qualify for CL)... In 2 yrs he will be scary! Book it

As crazy said a week or so ago, playing through the center has helped Theo be a better winger. And I think we're better served with him out there (at least in our current formation). Should be a double digit G/A player for the next few years.

Crazy to think he and Bale (and The Ox, I guess, though I don't really rate him atm) were on the same team.

Suarez is side by side with Falcao, Cavani, RVP and any others you can think of when it comes to strikers... Sure some may be more clinical, but he offers much more than just goals...

Even when looking at goal talley, the one thing that makes his even more impressive is he doesnt take penalties for us (not sure about RVP at Man U)... the others do.

I'm kinda excited about what may come of Sturridge with regular playing time in his favored position... maybe not world class, but he has the tools... we'll see if he has what it takes upstairs to step it up...

I realize the Ox didn't play with them. Luke Shaw is another top prospect

We could probably do a first and second team XI. Might be a little easier and that should encompass all of the world class players. To me, if they can't make the second all-world XI team, they aren't world class. An argument might be able to be made for third team, but I'd have to see the names. The only exception would be keeper.

Happened to re-read this thread trying to find something and I can't believe I missed this. WHAT?

We are talking about on form players. Neither Messi OR Ronaldo are in the discussion as far as I'm concerned.

Cristiano only has 39 goals in 39 matches this season, while Messi has only scored in 16 consecutive league games. Not on form.

Bale has 15 goals on 109 shots. 14%
Messi has 38 goals on 134 shots.
28%

Yeah Bale is in better form.
Beast I know you were being facetious, not replying to you just adding to it.
