I thought they returned a ton of talent still?
Florida lost most of their starting lineup and pitching staff from last year. then, their former 1st round draft pic ace pitcher, whitson, is out for the season with a shoulder injury. florida has been recruiting well every year, but all their talent is extremely young. i'd compare them to vanderbilt from last season

Looks right to me. He's using GPA instead of BA

yeah i see that now. i wouldnt do that but hey whatever.
Posted on 2/25/13 at 2:35 pm to bbap
yeah. it's technically a better measure of production, but a fairly new stat and not widely used. OPS is just starting to become a norm

If you want a single hitting stat to go by, it's the best one you can come up with.
I prefer having the other ones too, but those are already listed on the regular stat sheet.

I will fight against the stupidity of OPS until my last dying breath!!

im familiar with most but i had to look that one up. also didnt realize you were going next level with your stats. thats probably way too high brow for this board.

out of curiosity, anyone where stony brook is ranked?
Posted on 2/25/13 at 2:40 pm to Doc Fenton
I'm interested in seeing BA with RISP to this point.
Posted on 2/25/13 at 2:40 pm to LSUTygerFan
No, but Florida Gulf Coast is ranked after downing the Gators.

Why these specialty stats are not publicized is beyond me.
