I had never heard this before or seen it discussed here so if it is a topic that has been discussed before I apologize.

I was looking at past MVP's and how many of them were hall of famers and I was a bit surprised that every single player who had won the award from Bob Petit in 1956 to Karl Malone in 99 is in the HOF. After Malone, Shaq and Iverson are the only 2 players to have won the award who are not currently playing. Everyone else is still active. Shaq is absolutely getting in, but I am almost positive the streak stops with Iverson.

Iverson is going into the HOF. I don't think there is much question about that.

Agreed. There's a lot of people out there who rate Iverson as one of the best ever. They don't call them fanatics for nothing.

Maybe your right. I don't follow basketball as closely as I do football, but I do remember him being an amazing player. I just didn't know if the lack of a championship and the bad attitude would count against him.

Is there anybody who has won it since that there is any question about as far as the hall of fame?

Iverson is a HOFer. He is probably the best NBA player ever 6' or shorter.

You are right.

The guy with the 6th best scoring average of all-time isn't a Hall of Famer

Iverson is getting into the HOF(regardless of how "great" he actually was).

Iverson gets in no doubt, as does Nash. Vince Carter will be the test case for bad attitude/no championship player who has the numbers to get in.

Iverson had a sick crossover.

Isnt it just a basketball HOF not NBA HOF? So guys who have one good year and a great college career are going in, even if they don't have a great NBA career. Like Bill Walton.

Correct. It is the basketball hall of fame, which means you don't even have to be a player or coach, just someone who contributed to the sport.

For players, their college career would be considered.
