I like this take personally. Congrats to the kid.

Young is definitely the next one in line and a sure take. No question about that. He is a huge LSU lean.(Dupre also though his situation is gonna be dicey considering that he can go anywhere he wants)

As far as numbers, 3 is likely the number now but only if it's a must take guy like Garrett or Wilson. Both are kids that have many major options and will be long recruiting battles. The staff will focus on Young and reel him in and then take their shots at the others and hope one pops. Best case scenario imo. We're gonna have a well balanced and loaded class. Enjoy the ride

Congratulations on becoming a Tiger to Donnie!

Got him in as committed as an OLB on the 2014 page. Put Rivals Edna Karr vs. Salmen highlights of him on there. Will get some more 2012 video whenever I find them.

alexander must be really talented. he got an offer before about 8- 10 other la. prospects that have been mentioned more often. I don't know if this means he was the next most highly rated la. player on our board.

anyone hearing any other la. players close to offers?

Thanks I also called his position coach for his junior highlight film so people can see how good this kid is.

Thanks, I'll look for it and make sure the pay sites get it, if they don't have it yet.

young and alexander are both olb. we must be taking 3 for sure. seems like mlb is the biggest need since we don't know if melvin jones will eat his way to dl. this would leave us with only (fiest, granier) mlb in last 3 classes if we don't take one this year.

Are we still looking at Mabin?

I think the staff is keeping Mabin in mind, but that they have other guys higher on the list - namely Petera Wilson and Clifton Garrett, among others. I like Mabin; he's really put together, but he may only get offered if we miss on others.

I agree with others who say it looks like we may take 3 LBs in this class - Alexander, Young and one other. And if there's a chance that Beckwith and/or Melvin Jones grow into DEs, it might be good that we do.

"I went up there (Baton Rouge) and I was talking to coach Frank (Wilson), and he was telling me that they were gonna offer me," Alexander said. "They were telling me that out of all the linebackers that they've been recruiting, they liked me the most. He said they really wanted me to come up there."

They watch like 10 minutes of film and come up with a number.

They never had anything on him before Lsu recruited him did they?

Pretty much. 88 seems like the go to number when they don't have much on a prospect because that way if they bump him up or down, it's not a huge jump. I didn't even know he existed before I saw he committed on here and I've been following the 2014 class pretty closely.
