I walked and shed hunted for a couple hours today. I saw 40-50 deer while walking and found 4 sheds. the amount of very fresh rubs was insane. I could have taken pictures of them all day.

Also I stopped by the sporting goods store and there was no shortage of AR's and 22s. the pictures isnt all they had either.

here are some of the deer I saw. There are actually 10-15 out there but you can see 5 or 6 in the picture

here is the first one I found. it was not far from a big arse rub. I put the bottle in to give some size reference. its a big bottle

the tree were all SHREDDED!

this is exactly how I found these two. I think the deer sneezed too hard and they flew off his head.

here is the days total

and here is the collection of AR's at a local store

I'm working out of town in canton ohio. The other store I frequent has plenty too.

I'm having to restrain myself from buying an ar-10

They were flying off the shelves for a while. It's slowed down a bunch. You can find .223 ammo but its over $1 a round. No 22lrs left

That SCAR looks like a 16s, which is the 5.56 version. That mag well looks very small for 308 mags.

Why not buy a 308 rifle while you can, Diesel? I mean, personally, I would do it.

Because people are having a hard time finding 5.56 under $1.00 a round, good luck finding .308 anywhere, much less under $1.00 a round.

Well if you have time to save money, I would personally get the LWRC REPR. Even though it's over 3k, it's the bee's knees as far as AR10s go. It's a piston-driven rifle with a very slim rail and great controls.

I went to 3 Academy's this morning. Hammond, Covington & Slidell. All 3 of them had multiple boxes of .308 sitting at the front counter (where they're selling the fast moving bullets from now). I didn't check price cause all I was looking for was .22LR.

I have too many other wants to drop 3k on it. Im looking at the S&W M&P for 1600. its the same as my 15

Forgot about that new entry in the AR10 market. Good choice.

And as far as 308 availability, I bet you could find some deer hunting rounds in 308. They may be a bit pricey, but they'll run just fine. That's the main reason 308 is more available than 5.56 right now. More people with tactical rifles have them chambered in 5.56.
