NOLA locals: First DBA Show this weekend. Need tips

Going to see rebirth at DBA Saturday 11 pm. John Boutte plays at 8. Do they clear the place out between acts? How early can I buy my tickets, and when should I plan on being there in order to get a good spot? TIA

Yes - the place is cleared between acts. No tickets in advance, only at door. Get there by 10:30 and you'll be fine. Good beer selection at dba.

Thanks! I've spent a lot of time on Frenchmen, but never been to DBA and never seen rebirth. Looking forward to the beer selection.

Yeah, its what we refer to as 11 Nawlins time. More likely closer to midnight. But, you can sip a few brews while waiting. dba is one of the better music clubs in town.

get there early or else don't plan on seeing the stage. Can't see the stage from about 60% of the space in the venue.

If you're lucky you'll get the booth in the back. Then you can see and hear the show while people watching out the windows.
