teflon Chris at it again. I've never seen someone- maybe d-wade 2 years ago- get so much credit for winning and zero blame for losing. Everyone is ready to crown his arse and he's never even made it out of his conference before. He's a great (current) player, but eventually the 08 playoffs is the anomaly and every other year is the norm. Everyone holds him in such high esteem, but no one takes him to task for losing-- it's ALWAYS someone else's fault

You're mistaking a team accomplishment when judging individuals.

Name me all of the best players to play alongside TOny Parker. Now do the same for Paul in New Orleans. You don't think that plays a HUGE factor?

So, just to be certain, you've had Tony Parker as the #1 PG in the NBA for years now, correct?

I've watched both teams numerous times, including last night. You're an imbecile if you think Paul racks up assists by just tossing the ball to Griffin in the post and letting Griffin do the work. I'm throwing you into the same class of doofus since your go-to is the "I guess you haven't watched them play" bullshite.
im talking about Parker's assists, not Paul's. TP plays in a system with incredible ball movement. It's not a traditional PG that distributes the ball to scorers like Paul and rondo play in. His lack of stats is the system, for better and worse. So comparing the assist numbers and making it the end all, be all is unfair

of course teammates matter, but LBJ took scrubs to the finals in Cleveland. Chandler/west >>>>>> Larry Hughes/ drew gooden. Paul is mentioned as an LBJ type impact, but is never held to that scrutiny. It's always the lack of team mates, or management, or coaching. Never CP3. He had good team mates last year, what happened in the playoffs? Did he elevate his team? Or did they all fade and no one gave a damn bc they're the clippers?

So playing for a much better organization and offensive system hurts Parker's stats but playing for shitty organizations and coaches doesn't hurt Paul's chances of winning championships?

His TEAM lost to a TEAM that was clearly better.

No one would even question that.
